If you don’t have a good reason to learn a language, you are less likely to stay motivated over the long-run. Ask yourself, why you want to learn a new language? Finding a job or get a Resident permit could be a better reason. You must have the dedication to learning something new. Promise yourself you will be dedicated to this learning period.

Take small steps

Start with some simple steps. Make an attainable goal to start with. So you won’t feel overwhelmed. German translator Judith Matz  suggests  “Pick up 50 words of a language and start using them on people and then slowly start picking up grammar .”  If you get success with some simple tasks you will feel confident.

Get a partner

Find a partner for helping you. It will help you to learn faster. Ask some of your class friends. If you can’t find any native speakers near you, search for foreign penpals or set up a language tandem online, where two volunteers help one another practice their respective languages.

Don’t worry about making mistakes

One of the most common barriers to conversing in a new language is the fear of making mistakes. The more you speak, the closer you’ll get to the elusive ideal of “native-like fluency.” And to talk to people your own age. Cope the fear of making mistakes. More you talk the more you will be fluent.

Make fun with it

Have fun with this new language. It is a creativity to play with it. Make a radio play with a friend, draw a comic strip, write a poem, or simply talk to whomever you can. Write a funny letter to any of your native speaker friend. They will get surprised, you will get appreciation.

Leave your comfort Zone

Willingness to make mistakes means being ready to put yourself in potentially embarrassing situations. This can be scary, but it’s the only way to develop and improve. It isn’t any matter how much you have learned, how fluent you can speak. Talk to strangers in the language, ask for directions, order food, try to tell a joke. It will make bigger your comfort zone.

Listen

You must listen for learning a language. It will teach you how to learn. Listen to any song, conversation. At the first time, it sounds stranger when listening to a new language. The more you expose yourself to it the more familiar it becomes, and the easier it is to speak it properly.

Watch movie

By watching a movie you can learn the language faster. Beside this, you will get to know phrases of the language. You will learn the talking style. So try some movies of the language.

Foreign languages make travel more interesting. Learning another language can improve your first language.

 Revise your lessons earlier

Most students can’t complete him/her lessons for laziness. Remember one thing the sooner you start your study the better result you will get. Don’t leave your everyday homework behind. Try to complete your lessons so that you can get enough time for revising. Then you won’t feel afraid for your exam day. Preparing well ahead of the exam will help you to focus on difficult topics which seem very hard to you.

It will help you to avoid panic at the last moment.

 List out your hard topics or Subject

Try to make a list of your difficult topics which you have always push behind. Find what you don’t like to study but it will come in exam. Using this technique you will feel more confident about the exam. More practice will make you stronger. Every student has a disliking subject. Mark out your weakness on that subject and repair it.

 Make a Target for everyday

Without an aim, there is no way that you will achieve anything in life. Fix your aim or can’t do well in your exam. Making a target for the day is crucial.

Make a schedule for your study. Before making this think about when you like to study. The timetable should be realistic that you abide by it. Try to follow time

Hand Notes

There are lots of guide books in the market. You can get them easily. You will treat it as like you do with your text books. So dear students try to make your own hand notes which are more reliable than guide books. Often you will get wrong information in markets guide book. Try to avoid it. On the other hand, if you make hand notes you have to look at the subject. Then when you will start learning it will seem much easier to you.

Take A Break

For developing your concentration you need to take a break. Not only it boosts your learning but also fresh your mind. Even listening to music at an interval of 3 or 4 hours is not bad. Breaks bring back enthusiasm while studying.

Food

Keep your body healthy by getting enough food. While you are studying hard you need to eat properly. Eat almond as snacks. Don’t eat junk food you could have food poisoning. Try to take eggs, milk, whole grains, Dark chocolate etc. That food will boost your power of the brain and raise your concentration. In the exam, hall keeps a bottle of water. Dehydration can remove your concentration and focus.

Sleep Well

Students often study without taking rest. Sleeping in afternoons are often advisable. It will give rest to your brain and eyes. Don’t try to be nocturnal. After taking a nap you will feel better when start studying.

Use Perfume

Perfume can be easily used to improve your mind and concentration. Use perfume before sitting on your table it will help to boost your focus.

Listen Music

When you are taking a break you can often listen to music. It will refresh your mind. Researchers say that Music improves our mental well-being and our physical health in surprising and astonishing ways. So listen to your favorite music during the study.
