Before you leap, take some time to discover the benefits of studying multiple languages, prepare yourself for the inevitable challenges.

Let’s see how you will learn new languages.

Question mark

 Ask yourself

If you don’t have a good reason to learn a language, you are less likely to stay motivated over the long-run. Ask yourself, why you want to learn a new language? Finding a job or get a Resident permit could be a better reason. You must have the dedication to learning something new. Promise yourself you will be dedicated to this learning period.

Take small steps

Start with some simple steps. Make an attainable goal to start with. So you won’t feel overwhelmed. German translator Judith Matz  suggests  “Pick up 50 words of a language and start using them on people and then slowly start picking up grammar .”  If you get success with some simple tasks you will feel confident.

Get a partner

Find a partner for helping you. It will help you to learn faster. Ask some of your class friends. If you can’t find any native speakers near you, search for foreign penpals or set up a language tandem online, where two volunteers help one another practice their respective languages.

Don’t worry about making mistakes

One of the most common barriers to conversing in a new language is the fear of making mistakes. The more you speak, the closer you’ll get to the elusive ideal of “native-like fluency.” And to talk to people your own age. Cope the fear of making mistakes. More you talk the more you will be fluent.

Make fun with it

Have fun with this new language. It is a creativity to play with it. Make a radio play with a friend, draw a comic strip, write a poem, or simply talk to whomever you can. Write a funny letter to any of your native speaker friend. They will get surprised, you will get appreciation.

Leave your comfort Zone

Willingness to make mistakes means being ready to put yourself in potentially embarrassing situations. This can be scary, but it’s the only way to develop and improve. It isn’t any matter how much you have learned, how fluent you can speak. Talk to strangers in the language, ask for directions, order food, try to tell a joke. It will make bigger your comfort zone.

Listen

You must listen for learning a language. It will teach you how to learn. Listen to any song, conversation. At the first time, it sounds stranger when listening to a new language. The more you expose yourself to it the more familiar it becomes, and the easier it is to speak it properly.

Watch movie

By watching a movie you can learn the language faster. Beside this, you will get to know phrases of the language. You will learn the talking style. So try some movies of the language.
